Christina and Dennis got engaged back at Christmas after 9 years of being together! Congratulations to them! It was awesome hanging out with them this weekend and shooting some fun engagement portraits for them! Even though it was freezing, we had a really great time! The two of them were troopers, so it was awesome!

Oh, and Dennis did a REALLY good job picking out her ring! He tells me she deserves it! She must be pretty special!

Congratulations again on your engagement!

xo,

Amy

I am busy working away on a full blog post for Trish and Adam but in the mean time, I wanted to share with you a sneak peak. This one literally is a sneak peak. I love it! These two are just awesome and I can’t wait to share more of their fantastic McGrath Mansion wedding with you!

Dear World,

Tanya is adorable and I am sure her baby is going to be as well. I can’t wait to meet him at their baby portraits in the spring! I am so glad they braved the winter highway to come to Edmonton for their maternity photos!

I love the set below. I always tell people to try to forget I am there, which is harder for some than for others. While I was shooting Ashton, Ashley was just hanging out. When I walked around the back of them, the two of them were laughing (and I think he may have been making faces), but this is how Ashley was looking at him. THIS is why I love my job… and why these two are meant to get married! Aren’t they adorable!?St. John's Wedding Photographers
Here is a quick sneak peak for Ashley and Ashton! They totally deserve it after meeting me to brave freezing temperatures at Rundle Park today for Engagement photos. The two of them are absolutely adorable, and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in September!

Lyndal and her little boys met up with myself and Bridget this past Friday at the playground. The goal was some cute headshots for her new website for her new business venture! Lyndal will be running the Edmonton North Chapter of Mommy Connections (www.mommyconnections.ca), an awesome post natal program for Moms! With weekly presenters, Mommy Connections gives new Moms a great place to meet new friends, and hear fantastic presentations on topics relevant to them!

These are my favorite shots from the few minutes we managed to snag at the park with the kids, can you guess which one she picked for her website? You’ll have to check out www.mommyconnections.ca to find out!

Laura and AJ met up with me at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium on Thursday for some fun couples portraits. I initially met Laura when her and her friends all did senior portraits with me last year. She was one of the sweetest girls I ever met, and it was fun wandering around downtown Edmonton, taking some fun portraits of her, to celebrate her finishing high school. I was stoked when she contacted me to shoot her and AJ! These two totally love each other, and it’s just great. It was so cute watching little tiny Laura walk off the LRT wearing AJ’s winter coat. She looked a little big like a pretty Mr. Magoo, and AJ was a big strong guy (because it was faaaareeeezing and he was left in shirt sleeves!). I know these two have great things in store for them!

The White’s are an adorable family and I am so glad we finally got to meet up to do their family photos. Between bad weather, busy schedules, my emergency trip back to Newfoundland and short evenings, it really took some doing! However, I think the end was well worth all fo the struggle. The girls are gorgeous and Desirae and Jeremy are a beautiful couple.

It’s been such an incredible fall for family photos. Even though most of the leaves are long gone, the weather has been absolutely incredible. When Andrea and her boys met up with me at Rundle Park, it was an excellent day for photos. It was crisp and bright, my favorite fall weather!

It was great meeting you and your boys! Thanks for looking me up while you were in town!

The Schembri’s are no stranger to this blog. I have photographed them in all stages of life. I was their Wedding Photographer when the got married back in March at Fort Edmonton Park. I have taken their maternity photos when Jo was pregnant with baby Joseph, I have taken their engagement portraits, and I also have had the (fun) priveledge of shooting Jo during a Sexy in the City session (haven’t heard of this? Email me and I will send you the details- It is NOT what you are thinking!)

I am happy that you chose me yet again to capture your family! This time just enjoying the fall leaves during your family portrait session!

How do you say sweet? This little girl was adorable in her red hat and dress. And when her mom sent her a few feet away with me for some uninterrupted photos (I don’t think she realized what she was doing- she was dressing the baby), we got an awesome result. It’s sooooo much easier to get kids to smile when you  just talk to them and no one is leaning over your shoulder yelling at them to smile. Just my humble opinion, but I am pretty sure there are lots of family portrait photographers in this world who would agree with me!
These family photos were taken by the Sturgeon River, in St. Albert, one of my favorite photo locations around Edmonton!

Thanks for coming out to see my guys! It was a pleasure to meet all of you- including your incredibly well behaved fur babies!!!
