Meet some of the lovely ladies from Mommy Connections! If you are a regular Island in the Mist Photography blog reader, you might remember Lydal from a few weeks back. Basically, Mommy Connections is a fantastic post natal program I wish I had known about when I was a new mommy, home alone with little Bridget.

Just so I don’t bungle up the details that I want to share with you, I borrowed this copy from their fan page:

Mommy Connections offers pre & post natal programs in 16 locations in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Our pre natal programs are 6 weeks in length (one day intensive courses are also offered in Edmonton) and include modernized birth preparation sessions on the topics of body preparation, relaxation techniques, post-partum, infant care, Doula support and more. The post natal program is led by a certified pre natal educator and in most cases, by a Registered Nurse. Our post natal programs are 8 weeks in length and are designed to connect and educate new moms through interactive demos and expert speakers on modern topics. Mom and baby attend these eight 1.5 hour sessions and at the end of the program, the moms have their very own support network through a moms group.

Each of these lovely women is a Mommy Connections director from a different area in and around Edmonton. They were all fantastic to work with, and fun to shoot, and I really think that if you are a soon to be mommy, new mommy or someone who knows someone who is, you should check out the Mommy Connections website or visit them on the Mommy Connections Facebook Page.
