I am not quite a week late with this post. I didn’t mean to be 6 days late at all, however, the people who paint x’s above doors threatned to come to our house this week. No one has been well. Some have been sicker than others. Some have been more patient than others. Some took their Pnuemonia back to Newfoundland and someone thought to bring a stomach bug to share will all the others.
But none the less.
Happy Birthday Bridget. I am sorry that your party was cancelled and your Dora Cupcake Cake is drying out in the fridge since last week. I am sorry you didn’t get to visit with your friends and wear your party hats. I am sorry your friends didn’t get their loot bags.
I am happy you are feeling better today. And even though I may have lost my patience when you pulled the chair into the kitchen and emptied the salt shaker while sitting on the stove, in the time it took me get to you from the living room- I still love you with all of my heart.
I love your unruly blonde hair and your big blue eyes. I love your stubborn streak because it’s like having an argument with myself, every day of my life. I love that you don’t like loud music (I hope this continues into teenagerdom). I love your little button nose and the fact that you insist on ‘boowing’ it about 300 times a day- causing you to wash away the yucky germs for 5 minutes in the sink. I love that when I tell you can’t do something, you do it anyway, and as irritating as it is now, I hope this continues into adulthood. Well, except throwing food on the floor, that you can give up right now.
I can’t make a list of all the things I love about you because the list just wouldn’t end. But know this my girl. I love you with all of my heart! Who would have thought that 2 years (and 6 days) ago, my life would have changed so much for the better!
Thank you for making my world just that much better! Happy Birthday baby girl! I love you.
