Meet Phil, Andrea, Ryan and Jack. Phil is my favorite cousin on my Dad’s side (sorry other cousins- though, I am sure you all knew before now). This is his wife Andrea, son Ryan and his dog Jack, and they are awesome too.

This past week I travelled to Calgary where they live, because an Aunt on my Mom’s side was in the hospital. My Mom and Stepdad were there as well, so we took the opportunity to go to Phil’s house to meet Baby Ryan, who was born on Christmas Eve. Bridget was excited for a full week to meet The Baby. Here he is patient as anything waiting to have his bum changed.

I love this photo. Love it. Phil looks so pleased. With himself, with the baby, with the cousin in his living room taking a few snaps while her daughter rearranged the furniture in his kitchen and filled the cofffee pot with oranges. You know, some things are more pleasing that others. Here is my Bridget enjoying ‘The baby’. She has been talking about him ever since and is actually making a permanent dent in my leg while she leans on me watching me blog about him. I expect that if they didn’t live 3 hours away, she might try to take him out for morning promenades on the boardwalk. She will make quite the Mommy in 25 years. But in the meantime, I think this photo needs to be on my mantle.
And just because no matter how beautiful any baby may be, their feet are the most amazing thing in the world… Here are Baby Ryan’s feet cradled in Mommy and Daddy’s hands.

Phil and Andrea, I am so gla we got to hang out last weekend! And thanks for making Bridget a Big Cousin. I am sure she will cherish the position.
